Geocache Description:

"While Eeyore frets ...

... and Piglet hesitates

... and Rabbit calculates

... and Owl pontificates

...Pooh just finds caches."

Look at the cache difficulty rating!

You'd be surprised how many people violate this simple principle every day of their lives and try to fit square pegs into round holes, ignoring the clear reality that Things Are As They Are.

"Rabbit's clever," said Pooh thoughtfully.

"Yes,"said Piglet, "Rabit's clever."

"And he has Brain."

"Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit has Brain."

There was a long silence.

"I suppose," said Pooh, "that that's why he never understands anything."

Rabbit stormed over, "Whilst you're messing around, I'm working out where the cache is. Look at this little puzzle, here."

Zebra and Water Mystery

1. There are five houses.
2. The Englishman lives in the red house.
3. The Spaniard owns the dog.
4. Coffee is drunk in the green house.
5. The Ukrainian drinks tea.
6. The green house is immediately to the right of the ivory house.
7. The Etrex user owns snails.
8. A Magellan is found in the yellow house.
9. Milk is drunk in the middle house.
10. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
11. The man who uses a Garmin Geko lives in the house next to the man with the fox.
12. A Magellan is used in the house next to the house where the horse is kept.
13. The Lowrance cacher drinks orange juice.
14. The Japanese uses GPS60.
15. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.

Now,
Co-ordinate A :
Who drinks water?
Co-ordinate B :
Who owns the zebra?

English=0 Spanish=9 Ukraine=8 Norwegian=7 Japanese=6

"That holds the key to part of the cache co-ordinates," said rabbit, proudly, "and so does this." Rabbit handed Pooh a piece of paper...

"Good god!" said Pooh.

Fox, Goose, Beans

Once upon a time a farmer went to market and purchased a fox, a goose, and a bag of beans. On his way home, the farmer came to the bank of a river and hired a boat. But in crossing the river by boat, the farmer could carry only himself and a single one of his purchases - the fox, the goose, or the bag of the beans.

If left alone, the fox would eat the goose, and the goose would eat the beans.

The farmer's challenge was to carry himself and his purcha
ses to the far bank of the river, leaving each purchase intact. How many crossings did he make?

This is C. Subtract 1 to give you D.

"Finally, we have to solve the wine/water puzzle," said rabbit.

The Wine and Water Puzzle

This requires two containers, one holding wine and the other an equal volume of water. A cup of wine is taken from the wine container and added to the water. A cup of the wine/water mixture is then returned to the wine container, so that the volumes in the containers are again equal. The question is then posed - which of the two mixtures is purer? Ideally the problem should be solved without resorting to computation. It is also not necessary to state the volumes of wine and water, as long as they are equal. The volume of the cup is irrelevant, as is the degree of stirring of the wine/water mixture before equalising the volumes."

"Which is purer? The mainly-wine container (3)? The mainly-water container (2)? Or are they equal? (1)"

This gives you E.
F equals A+2.

"Let's go and find it, Pooh," said rabbit.

"OK, rabbit!" said Pooh, as he stood up. "Ohhh, hold on - I've been sat on it all the while!"
