Phil probably had GGNRA land in mind, but I half-expected to see
Farley, the Bears, or a feral cat just around the corner, wherever
he might be now.
If you climb up Shafter or come across the Bolinas Ridge, you
might welcome a spot to take a rest and find a cache. While you are
there, you can think about what this area would have looked like if
the plans for a parkway and houses -- connecting to a freeway
leading to a Bolinas marina -- had ever been developed. There is a
lot we owe to those who worked to keep this space open for us
all.
I followed a deer trail just off the main fire road, and the
cache is visible from the right angle.
