Westbound I-94 Exit 84-A Traditional Cache
Ron & Lois: Since we needed to move everything West to fit 3 new caches in this rest area, this one must be archived. It will rise again like a phoenix from the ashes. Watch for it.

Located at the West end of a Highway Rest Area just West of the Galesburg Exit (85 mile marker) in the unmowed area North of the Dog Run Area. Rolling, slightly hilly terrain, but not too long a walk from some parking places - much longer from others. Cache is hidden a likely spot, in a normal manner.
This is one of two caches placed in this area on the same night. Both were ammo cans - but since this ammo can was stolen after only a week, it has been replaced by a cammo'd 2# Peanut Butter Jar, and moved to a location a bit farther from the parking lot. It is still a nice walk from the parking area...you can make it shorter by watching where you park and moving your car between caches. This cache was started with a log and pencil, some toys, our sig card and a sig with a hand made glass torch bead attached.
When we stopped at this rest area on the way home from Detroit last week, we took a waypoint and were amazed to see that this one was lacking any nearby caches. So, now there are two.
Because of the location of this cache, you should only try it from East of Galesburg if you are going on to Kalamazoo, because that is the next exit to get off I-94. Likewise, if you are West of Galesburg, you should get this on your return trip, because you are going back to Kalamazoo first, even if you wanted to continue East. That's also part of the reason we thought we should place two caches here.
