Biggles' Base (Canterbury) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Rincewind3: Unfortunately it appears to be no more. I had a bit of a poke around but the co-ords were never spot on when the trees were standing so were probably too accurate today. Will have to come up with a replacement some time soon. Watch this space...

Geocache Description:

A cache hidden near, but not on, an airfield I have used in my flight training. GPS accuracy not flash due to trees in the area. You could bike out here but will need to dismount to locate the cache.

The cache container is a dark brown screwtop, about 400ml. Initial contents: logging items along with a couple of fishing lures (there is a river nearby), a carabiner (novelty), shoelaces and a brand new travelbug of mine; Biggles' Bug (visit link)

The photos I have posted will certainly show you if you've driven/biked to the right area but will not help you find the cache itself at all. The cache is about 25 metres from here - WITHOUT entering the airfield (I don't want anyone prosecuted for tresspass, there is a caretaker who lives on site).

Clue 1 below won't help much much, but the others should.
