There are a number of locations from where you can watch the display. Most people watch it from Plymouth Hoe N50°21.880 W004°08.527 where there is also a fairground that competes with the flashes and bangs. Whilst we favour watching from a boat we do have a suggestion for people who want a ringside seat. If you arrive early at this car park: co-ordinates N50°21.821 W 004°08.336 you can choose a good parking spot. You may even be able to watch from your car. Whilst places are reserved for dinghy parking, on fireworks night people ignore this and park anywhere. There is a level area by the waters edge N50°21.804 W004°08.020 that is popular with the fishermen. Get your seats set up there and you will be able to see both the dramatic high level display and the intricate low level performance missed from most other locations. The fireworks are set off from N50°21.568 W004°08.017. There are toilets in the car park.
Another popular view point is N50°21.102 W004°09.877
The Cache itself is nowhere near here at all. It is placed somewhere that has history going back to the Boar War. From the published co-ordinates you can almost see the cache. If you are high enough up of course. Please do not try to get here.
The location of the cache can be found by a study of the above. Remember it is portable.
