"What a view! What a drive! We would never have thought that a road excisted up this hill, but thanks to geocaching all was revealed. We came across a few campers who spend the night up here - must be an experience! Thanks for leading us up this winding road to the great place."

This area was in use since 1870. During the Boer war this was a hiding place. This site was used by the South African Defence Force since 1966. Now the site is being used for communication.

From Pietersburg go on the Burgersfort/Lydenburg Road. Turn left at S24.16.033 E029.37.542 unto Hwelesaneng country road. TIP Follow the power lines from main road. Dirt road for just over 5km over 2 concrete bridges. Then you will be on a very scenic cement road up the mountain where you can find more caches.

Thanks for the comments on this Cache.
