Geocache Description:

This cache is for Leader Dog's Rainier and Ski-los both working in Costa Rica. We thought it only right that it would be a TB Hotel with a traveling theme and made the title so anyone searching leader dogs would see it.

Our crew makes the trip flying or driving to Rochester Mi. a couple times a year as do all other puppy raisers dropping off and picking up puppies. We try to do some caching on the way and hope other cachers and even puppy raisers will remember the traveling it takes for these working dogs to get to their home.

There is no charge for any of the services offered by Leader Dogs for the Blind. The cost incurred by Leader Dog per graduating student and dog is approximately $35,000. However, students need only be concerned with bringing spending money with them as all room, board, meals (for 26 days), transportation, instruction and their dog are free of charge. The funding of Leader Dogs for the Blind can be largely attributed to three areas: Lions donations, individual gifts, and endowment interest. Much of the success of the Leader Dog program relies on the generosity and dedication of our faithful donors. Leader Dog receives NO state, federal or United Way funding.

Cache place with permission from small business owner I've known and trusted for years.
