dminard: It is with deep regret that I must decommission Minard Ultra 1 after so many wonderful years of activity. Like the cache, the cache owner has grown long in the tooth and cannot give the cache the care it deserves. My assistant cache owner, Doug V, was zealous in caring for the cache, but, sadly, he passed from ALS three years ago. For the past three years we have been able to pay an annual visit to perform upkeep on the cache. However, now that the cache has "disappeared", it's obvious that now is the time to officially close this cache.
