This is the first cache in a series of caches that will highlight the beautiful White Tank Mtns. Cache is 1.7 miles west of the Verrado Trailhead, the terrain is flat with a very mild climb for the first1.2 miles, the last .5 miles of the trail is steep and climbs over 400ft in elevation. However, the trail is clear and wide.
This is a small cache, with logbook only, there is no room for trades. The cache is located in our community trail system in the mountains directly behind our community. Please stay on trail and respect the vibrant desert this hike will afford. This is a fall, winter and spring hike, would not recommend the summer months. Take plenty of water for all desert hiking.
You can access this cache from a 4 wheel jeep trail coming from the south, see the additional waypoint for access information on the 4 wheel jeep trail. This jeep trail ranges from a Category 1 to a Category 5 jeep trail, standard clearance Wranglers will have no issues with this road.
Cache container is an RX bottle.
To clarify the attributes on this cache, the No Jeeps, Quads or Dirt Bikes is listed, because when accessing the cache trail from the Verrado Community you are accessing Verrado Association Property, if you access from Watson Rd it is Public Land and the attributes would not apply. However when you reach the saddle where the cache is located you are on Verrado Community Association Property. Hope this clarify's any misunderstanding on the attributes.
