How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This is a quick two stage multi cache. It’s meant to be fun for everyone and fairly easy to find. Over the last couple of years we’ve discovered it’s more fun for us to hide simple caches with a twist than hard to find caches that frustrate everyone! This cache should be fun for the kids but please be aware of the mild, and sometimes fast, traffic on both streets. We hope you all have fun with this one!

***SPECIAL EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED***
You will need to bring 1 gallon of water with you to the first way point. If you have an empty milk jug or juice bottle you should have more than a sufficient supply.

WP1 is located in a large pull off on Newberry Hill Rd. Once you locate the Geocaching pipeline you will need to use your water supply to retrieve the tube. Inside the tube you will find the coord’s for WP2. Please be sure to get the lid pressed firmly back on the tube and the retrieval device pointing upwards. Replace the cap and head to the next waypoint. WP2 in less than 1.5 miles from WP1.

WP2 is located in a pull off on the Seabeck Highway. You will be looking for a large ammo can that in cammo’d to fit in with it’s surroundings. Please hide the cache as well, if not better, than you found it.

Due to the tree cover and the rock wall near the cache locations you will need to let your GPSr settle a bit before starting the search. We spent a few days taking these coords. but occasionally got a 20 ft. jump in either direction depending on the day and conditions. At WP2 try to stay out from under the tree cover when you initially start your search.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND HAPPY CACHING!

*** Congrats to Slowestmover & Mack-Daddy for FTF ***

Please be considerate to the next hunters! Trade equal or trade up. After all, the little ones love the treasures and get disappointed when it's empty. Some of us older ones like the treasures too! THANKS!
