In Stafel auf 2180 MüM steht eine von 4 Pumpstation, die Wassermassen in den 24 km langen Stollen zum Grande Dixance pumpen.
Das Pumpwerk Stafel hat eine Fördermenge von 9.9 Kubikmeter pro Sekunde. Dabei wird das gesammelte Wasser 212 m in die Höhe gepumpt und gelangt dabei in den Hauptstollen zum Stausee Grand Dixence.
Es führen verschiedene Routen zum Cache. Man kann direkt von Zermatt Dorf aus zum Cache wandern. Eine leichtere Route geht mit der Gondelbahn von Zermatt zum Furi. Ab Furi zu Fuss zum Stafel.
Eine andere Möglichkeit besteht vom Schwarzsee aus.
Die 2.5 Terrain Sterne sind ab dem Furi gemeint. Der Weg zum Cache ist ideal für Mountainbiker und Nordic-walker, aber auch für eine gemütliche Wanderung.
There are some different ways to the cache. On Way is directly from Zermatt about Zmutt to the cache. An other way (more easy) is with the gondola to furi. From furi its an easy way to the cache. Also you can walk from Schwarzsee (Blacklake) to the cache.
The 2.5 Terrain Stars means the way from Furi.
