Geocache Description:

Parking is off Mascoma St which turns into Pine Tree Cemetery Rd (or vice versa). Look for dirt road across the street from modern cemetery with a new condo building to the left & drive straight back to the parking coords. Cache is right next to an old logging road in the woods. There are old grass-covered deep ruts from heavy trucks.

The cache is a narrow army green ammo box. ***PLEASE HIDE IT AS WELL AS YOU FOUND IT! Small twigs and branches are in front of the cache area. Please keep them there.

There is a Valley Quest called The Forest of Life box hidden in the area and on the way in from the parking it says:

and Pass the drainpipe and you’ll reach the split. Don’t go straight, turn right to it – A bridge over a muddle. (A muddle is a muddy puddle!) Wood frogs and green frogs visit here. Keep on going a fallen log is near. Stop at the fallen birch and look right. Look for a fallen tree with beaver mark bites. ***At the fork, turn left to the field***

BUT INSTEAD YOU WILL GO STRAIGHT AND NOT TURN LEFT.

This point has a waypoint:

N 43.38.801

W 072.16.329

Signal gets bad near the hiding spot so be patient and allow some extra time. When you get close to the lousy cache coordinates NOTE the cache is only about 25 to 30 +- feet from the path if you are standing so the path is perpendicular to the cache. Use the hint if need be. I averaged the coordinates many times but some marked that cache as 100 ft away while I was standing on the path looking right at it.
