The Cache is not in the lake!!!!
Lago Dos Bocas is a lake located in the municipality of Utuado on the island of Puerto Rico. The lake was created in 1942 when a dam was constructed by the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority for a hydroelectric power plant. It also serves as one of the island's potable water reservoirs. In recent years, silt has accumulated in the lake causing capacity to shrink. Silt has also made some portions of the land inaccessible by boat.
Ferries operated by the Department of Transportation provide transportation for residents on Lago Dos Bocas as well as for tourists. Several restaurants are located on the shore of the lake. Other nearby attractions includes the Rio Abajo State Forest Reserve.
The cache is located close to a place you can get beautiful pictures of the lake and dam... Now you don't need to reach the top of the hill. With the lake at your front, the cache is located someplace behind you.
Originally, it was a small container (like Ziploc). Now the container is Micro.
To get the place take PR-22, in Arecibo take the PR-10 to Utuado (south), and close to the Km. 70 you will find an exit for PR-123. Make a left and look for the entrance at your left.
For your safety, don’t visit the cache after 5 pm.

El Lago Dos Bocas es un lago artificial construido por la Autoridad de las Fuentes Fluviales (hoy, Autoridad de Energía Eléctrica) tiene un área de 122 millas y está ubicado entre Utuado y Arecibo. El agua del Lago Dos Bocas llega mediante un sistema de túneles del Río Caonillas… y del Río Grande de Arecibo.
Este lago se utiliza para la producción de energía eléctrica. También sus aguas se utilizan para el servicio de agua potable en comunidades del área metropolitana… ¿Recuerdan el “supertubo”?
El geocache que buscas está cerca de un lugar donde mejor puedes obtener fotos del lago y la represa. Con el lago de frente, el geocache estará en un punto a tus espaldas. Ya no es necesario llegar a la cima del monte para conseguir el cache.
Originalmente, el envase fue uno pequeño (similar a los Ziploc). Ahora el contenedor es uno Micro
Para llegar al lugar, toma la PR-22 hasta Arecibo. Toma la PR-10 en dirección a Utuado (hacia el sur), y cerca del Km. 70 encontrarás una salida hacia la PR-123, gira a la izquierda. Rápido verás la entrada a tu izquierda.
Por tu seguridad, no recomiendo que vayas después de las 5 pm.
