Abandoned Railway Siding between Worcester and Robertson on scenic Route 62 (R60/N15 to be exact) easy to reach at 380m asl

The story about this unusual location for a Railway Station is said as follows:
When Transnet commissioned several railway stations along the Worcester / Mosselbay rail section. The builders got given the names of the locations and off they went, plans, building material, labourers and all. Since many of the stations where in far off places, payment was done in advance. Well, this one was to be at Mowers… and after some time Transnet inquired about the building process, since nothing happened, yet the builder confirmed all was on track. Transnet gave him some more time and weeks later inquired again since no structure got off the ground. This time the builder got very upset, after all he was just about finished, so he invited the responsible people to the site to hand over the project. Confusion cleared quickly when he cautiously asked them if they knew the directions to their new station… The builder got the wrong Mowers and was several 100km off the mark for the planed station. Mowers never got into service nor was the original Mowers ever build… when in the 90’s the R60 (N15) got up graded, the contractors made use of the buildings for the first time. Today this station lies in ruins again.
The layout is a good example of "labor apartheid" where the boss lived tugged away from his workers.

15. May 2012: All buildings have finally been demolished to date only the foundation of the station master remained. Hence I've relocated the cache 20m North to safer grounds.

Please use caution when crossing the rail tracks. Ordinary cars better park before the crossing.
