Geocache Description:

This cache is in a beautiful area of Lyman Run State Park just off of Rock Run Rd. Please park at N41 43.331, W077 44.840 and walk .2 mi to where you will leave the road, or park closer at your own risk. (There is not a lot of pull-off room).

I placed this cache in honor of my 5yo son Micah who found a real "Pirate's Treasure" when we visited the Outer Banks last summer. While building a sand castle, he found a "real" treasure map (that looked suspiciously like a crumpled up paper bag). After deciphering the clues, he followed the map to a plastic treasure chest full of toys and tootsie rolls! :-) He never for one instant imagined that it was anything other than real, which for me captures the spirit of caching! I think that if pirates ever chose to hide away in Potter County, this might be the place. So enjoy this Pirate's Treasure, and bring something pirate themed if you can to trade. (I originally made up a pirate map for this cache, but I know lots of people download info without looking through it thoroughly first (like I do), and I didn't want you to get there without the map! So have fun...
