Most Kentuckians when traveling on a small road (the ones without lines) find our selves waving at perfect strangers. I never really thought about it much until my mother in law came to visit from Arizona. As I was driving down some back roads to the Markers Mark Distillery a guy driving a pickup approached me from the other lane and waved to me as he passed and I returned the wave. My Mother in law then asked if I knew the person and I replied, no that I did not, she remarked on how different things here are in comparison to where she lives.
As I was driving to a cache near Mammoth Cave today I passed one person walking and no less than 3 tractors, needless to say everyone waved. So if you find yourself weaving along these back roads and you happen to pass someone, give them a wave and I am sure they will return one. Isn’t this a great place to live?
Cache is 5 feet from the road, you will have to park on the roadway, so use your 4 ways and the cache should be a quickie
