Geocache Description:

Parking is safe on the old rt 23 side where you will find a dirt cutout that resembles a little parking area. Best approach is to come from the north and head south because its flat easy walk that way.

This cache is just technically on Newark Water Shed Property and requires a hiking permit which you can pick up at the Echo Lake office.This office is only a short distance from rt 23 northbound side off the Echo Lake Road exit. With this yearly permit you can also explore and hike other designated Water Shed properties which also have more Geocaching hides to go looking for. There were not any signs when i placed the cache coming from the North but you will see the No trespassing signs from old rt 23 side. The cache is a 6 inch diameter pcv tube with a screw top painted camo.Do not over tighten the screw top and keep the screw top as the lower point so moisture will not get in. Pleas do not put food or candy in the cache container!!!! Its filled with some toys, etc for the kids.It should be another easy one. No need to slide down a steep muddy slope to reach this one ,come in from the North and head south, its a much easier flatter short walk. .First to find new container can use the 7 dollar Dairy Queen gift card for some ice cream treats.
