Geocache Description:

The Rainbow Bridge

This cache is dedicated to "Barney", our basset, that passed away recently. See his picture below. He was a great dog and was 1/2 our namesake (Kodi&Barney). The cache is also dedicated to all the other beloved pets that have passed away.

There is a nice "poem" for those that have lost pets. It is called "The Rainbow Bridge", hence the name of the cache. You can see this poem set to music and pictures at the following link: (visit link)
We have also included a copy of the poem in the cache that can be framed. Please take only one copy per family.

Cache is a nice and easy walk on nice trails from either of 2 parking areas. The shorter way is about 0.26 miles from one parking area (N42*21.404, W076*51.200) or about 0.45 miles from the second parking area (N42*21.543 W076*50.464). You'll need to cross a bridge of course to reach the cache from one of the ways. Cache is hidden in traditional fashion. Please rehide and cover well. Cache is a large lock-n-lock that also contains animal toys and stuff and some puzzles etc.

Don't forget to discover the Rainbow Bridge geocoin that's attached to the lid. Please leave in cache but ok to write down coin # and discover it.

******2/24/08.....Thanks to the heartless person(s) for taking our cache. This was a cache dedicated to our dog that recently passed away and to all who have lost a beloved pet. You could have at least left the contents!

******4/7/08 Rehid cache in new location. Please watch for muggles. There are other hikers using these trails. And please cover well.
