Pink Dolphin Diamond Traditional Cache
PinkDolphin: Alas when I went to check on this today, it was obvious the area had been cleared, I could not find the cache and even the host had been removed. Not really a viable area for this type of cache any longer. Thank you to all who found this one over the years, but it is time to let this one go.

The diamond resides in a neighborhood park quite well protected. I was unable to find any hours posted, but I would guess if the gates are open the park is open. If anyone knows the hours of this park please let me know and I will update the page.
I recently took a day trip to Wilmington, NC and one of my stops on the trip was the Fraygirl’s Diamond Mine (GCTATD). Sadly, there were very few diamonds left, most had been mined out. However, I did discover the rare Pink Dolphin Diamond. All those other silly cachers before me must not have realized just how rare and valuable this diamond was.
First, there is the Pink Dolphin, which is almost extinct, and if you combine that with the very rare Pink Diamond, you have something quite valuable. I am not sure how or why anyone would leave a gem so valuable behind, but fortunately for me, they did. This diamond is well protected, but is right off a paved trail so there may be lots of jewel thieves in the area, and this diamond cannot be replaced.
This should be an easy find, after all how hard is it to find a Pink Dolphin Diamond?
