MOGA 2008 - The
5th Year
"A Little Bit
of Paradise at Mark Twain Lake"
Mark Twain Lake -
John F. Spalding Rec. Area
April 4 - 6,
2008
Come join us as we celebrate
our 5th year of the Midwest Open Geocaching Adventure! We will
return to Mark Twain Lake and utilize another awesome recreation
area. The John F. Spalding recreation area has plenty of parking, 2
pavilions, a beach and some great trails. The Joanna trail at
Spalding was ranked in the top 25 by ReserveUSA.
We will again place over 60
permanent caches for participants to find. The US Army Corps of
Engineers will once again be our host. If you attended last year,
you know of the great hospitality they gave us. We are very excited
about this year and we have some great plans to make sure the 5th
year will be unforgettable!
Here is the rundown of what
we have so far. Please keep checking back with us here and also at
the MOGA
WEBSITE

the packet will be $3.00 to cover the map cost.
Youth ( under 18) that will not
compete will be $7.00. This will cover the packet cost without a

the full adult rate. This will give you a competitors
coin.

Scout leaders, bringing their troop / team / crew, are free. Scouts
will receive collectors pin and lanyard. No coins. However, they
can be purchased in our store online or at the event if we have any
left.
Competitions
Single Competition - This
will be divided by age category: Younger than 30, 30 - 49, 50 and
older. It will also be divided, the first time ever, by gender.
That makes for 6 different categories.
Couples Competition - Couples
will be divided as well. No gender division and this is a 2 person
team event in which you stay together. The age divisions will be;
Under 40, and 40 and older. The youngest person on the team defines
the age division. If you are caching with your son and he is 14 and
you are 42, you will be placed in the younger division.
4 Person Team Competition - 4
person teams will be allowed to split up and look for the caches.
Age divisions are Under 50 and 50 and older.
All details on the competitions
including rules can be found on our website, MOGAGEO.COM after October
15th. Please continue to check for the latest and greatest
