What a View; Helesters Point used to have a fire lookout tower, now there are only ruins left.
Neat Lookout point. Forest service road 19 from the Emigrant Gap road exit. This one is at the end of a dirt road. The last few hundred yards is very narrow (over grown bushes), you may want to park your vehicle near the sign & walk up.
Please hide the cache well, it is very easy to find. Watch your children, there is wood with exposed nails and broken glass from the old tower. When we were there, two CDF aircraft flew below us down in the canyon. Quads & dirt bikes are an easy way to access this cache. Snow will cover this cache in the winter. A 4x4 is recommended.
Starting contents include; Curious George Band Aids, Flashlight & Batteries, Glow Stick, Sticky Lizards, Mountain Money, Behind Gaskets, Whistle, Erasers, Golf Tees (collect all four colors!), Bucky Teeth !!!!!!!!!Congrats to OCamera & MRC1925T FTF!!!
