Geocache Description:

A small cache in a favorite park. Enjoy the historical site and a nice walk!

Sawmill Pond is an eleven-acre park with operating water-powered up-and-down saw, working blacksmith shop and mill artifacts of the Industrial Revolution. My family has been coming here for years to run the dogs, take photographs and have picnics. The mill has the distinction of being the oldest operating up-down sawmill in the country. At the time of publishing the mill operating details are as follows. Attraction Rate: Free. Date of Operation: April-May and mid-October through November Time: Saturdays 1-4.
