Geocache Description:

The Calloway Community Nature Park is a new park just off Route 211 between Southern Pines and Raeford. What would a nice park like this be doing without a cache??? Glad to say that the situation has now been fixed.

When we put together this cache, we kept in mind how many caches that we've found that were filled with junky stuff. We tried to fill this one with items that our neices and nephews would be happy to find, not to mention a few nice items for adults as well. Bring the kids for this one. It's an easy walk - just follow the nature trail and no bushwhacking will be required. Park in the parking lot just off Route 211. Parking lot coordinates are N 35.00.714 / W 079.18.603 Enjoy the easy walk trough this beautiful new recreation area.

A note of caution - there is hunting allowed in the park during hunting season. Although the nature trail and the cache are located within the 'safe area' where hunting is prohibited, wear orange and use caution when in season!!
