Geocache Description:

The given co-ordinates are for Warwick Castle. The Cache is not located here, but is within a couple of miles of the castle.

The co-ordinates for this Cache can be found in another of our Caches. Cache is a 35mm film canister micro with log only, please BYOP!

Warwick is steeped in history. Its castle is probably one of the best preserved, and most well known, in England, along with Windsor. It houses the only working scale model of a trebuchet in the world!

Many of the street names in Warwick hark back to the town history - The Templars, Monks Way, Linen Street and, of course, The Butts.

Modern developments also borrow from history, in a bid to sound ever more impressive! Hence the new business park development, just off Junction 15 of the M40, bears the name Tournament Fields.

This flagship development lies at the gateway to the historic town, and the first phase - a landscaped lake and gardens around the entrance to the site - provides a little oasis from the M40 should you need a stop!

Unfortunately there are no benches here (yet?) so if you do intend to picnic, please bring a rug! There are a couple of resident coots already, plus a lovely heron to observe (not sure they've stocked the lakes for you though mate!) and no doubt numbers will increase with time!
