Sitting to start, walking about one hundred yards, finishing in slightly woodsy area.
I sing a song of the Patroness of the dearest art to me,
I worshipped and married at a church that was hers near to Lake Winnipesaukee.
But times they do change and Dioceses rearrange and my Patroness’ church did move
To a new location: a new, local, Saint, who’s Patroness-ship now we prove.
The spot marked above will bring you to two stone saints engaged in conversation.
One of these, our cache and my art’s Patroness, and the other, Patroness of our Nation.
Coordinates will indicate the searchers take a rest
And contemplate the gaze of their companions, facing west.
At this point, as you seek to see what the saints hold in their gaze,
Your left shoulder now will point towards the cache, just walk a little ways.
Rise now, walk and follow tar left, first new and then the old,
Turn right at the crossroads, up toward the woods, or your path will soon grow cold.
As woods begin to gather, keep our stone saints still in your view,
And as the two converge into one, walk toward them now you should do.
When flags and brass are nearly aligned, a rusting post will be found,
Seek now a rock that isn’t, to your right, near a tree on the ground.
Inside the cache are some items that our Patroness might hold dear,
Including a CD that she might approve of, recorded in spaces quite near;
For the gifts in the cache are the Patroness’ gifts, echoing round inside,
And I ask that you let me know when the cache will need more CDs to hide.
Bring a trinket to trade, tuneful and small, similar to those of her art;
If you do not yet know what that art might be, “Handel’s Ode” you might Google to start.
