CACHE SAFETY NOTE: Please be careful if you're driving from the East on County A to the cache location. It's located on a small hill, but you can't see the traffic when you turn left into the cemetery. There are two entrances here. Use the one that is down the hill a bit so you can see the traffic. If you approach from the West, I would advise you to (when leaving) exit the upper entrance so you can see the traffic coming from the East. You'll see. Be safe, folks! This cemetery is not snow-plowed during the winter months.
This is a very small cemetery located in the "Boonies" of Kenosha County. There are some really old 1800's tombstones near the cornfield that are faded away. I'm still researching this one to find a bit more history. UPDATE: There were tombstones originally here that were moved elsewhere. Were the graves also? I don't know. A local farmer gave me this information...interesting story. Why? Stay tuned...
UPDATE: 1-5-2011... Money or denomination issue. I'll follow up soon.
There's a great view from here (especially in the fall) of miles of beautiful Wisconsin farmland. Please respect the markers and the graves. The cache is not hidden there.
