Between Clarksville and Detroit on Hiway 82, there is a small picnic area. It is well shaded and well kept. Travel trailers and motorhomes are often stopped here for lunch. Truckers occasionally rest here for a while.
A plaque in the rest area says: Dedicated to J.H. Howard, Whose Life Was Dedicated to Building Better Hiways. Site donated by family 1959.
The cache is a little larger than a film canister and contains only a log. Bring your own pen.
