Geocache Description:

East bound and down, got your GPS on and truckin'! Here is a cache dedicated to one of my favorite red-neck movies, Smokey and the Bandit!
This cache is a 2 part multi. The area in which you will locate the 'Smokey' is an area in which real live 'Smokeys' hang out, so be sure to watch your speed as you come past where the 'Smokey' is hidden! The above coordiantes are for a micro container, which will have the second set of coordinates to help you hunt down the 'Bandit'. The 'bandit' is a regular sized rubbermaid container filled with trade items and a log book.

The 'Bandit' is located across from a place where you are likely to see all kinds of big rigs, from tandem sized coal trucks to 18 wheeled over the road haulers. Maybe you'll catch of glipse of 'Snowman'.

The cache is far from the garage, and well hidden off the road, on the east bound side of new hwy. 80.
I had 16-20ft. accuracy readings on my gps when I obtained coordinates, and I've included give away hints if needed. Neither parts of this cache are on private lands, and plenty of parking along the side of the hwy. is available.
Hopefully you won't see any real live 'Smokey Bears', or any bandits in a speeding firebird involved in any high speed pursuits! But hopefully you'll get to grab another quick cache, of course dedicated to one of the best red-neck movies of all time!
Hope you enjoy hunting this cache as much as I enjoyed hiding it!

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin'

We've got a long why to go and a short time to get there
I'm east bound just watch ol'Bandit run

Keep your foot hard on the peddle...son, never mind them brakes
let it all hang out cause we've got a run to make
The boys are thirsty in Atlanta, and there's rootbeer in Texarcana
and we'll bring it back no matter what it takes
East bound and down, loaded up and truckin'
a'we gonna do what they say can't be done
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there
I'm east bound just watch ol'Bandit run ......

Old Smokey's got them ears on, he's hot on your trail
and he ain't gonna rest 'till you're in jail
So you gotta dodge him.... you gotta duck him
You've gotta keep that diesel truckin....
just put that hammer down and give it heck

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin'
a'we gonna do what they say can't be done
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there
I'm east bound just watch ol'Bandit run
