Geocache Description:

Right, this Will not be a massive Under taking, but Train your thoughts on the task At hand, and please put the cache Back where you found it...

This cache was the initial home of the "Mark Billingham Travel Bug" (TB1R8KY) which is the book "Sleepyhead" - the first in the Tom Thorne detective/ thriller series.

The idea of this cache is to act as a way of discovering new books and authors that cachers may not have otherwise decided to read, or maybe rediscover an old favourite. I would please ask that if you intend to take a book from the cache, that you come prepared with another to leave in it's place.

The old railway line makes for a great walk or cycle, and if you go far enough in each direction you'll come across a pub or two to stop and rest in. Paths can get a bit muddy in the wetter months so be prepared. It's used by a lot of people but you should be able to swoop in quickly for a swift find.

Adopter's Notes:

BobKnot originally named this cache "West Grinstead Book Exchange" and although , as adopters, we are modifying its name in May 2018 to adapt it to the role of its host "West Grinstead Old Station" as the official midpoint of the Downs Link Trail, we are keen to preserve the original concept of the cache.

It's also a great parking location.

We have created a list of this series, including caches set by other owners nearby along the Downs Link trail, and will add new caches to the list as they are created :) Downs Link Bookmark List

More general information about this series can be found on Downs Link - Garden Centre? which is the first cache of the group heading north from West Grinstead Old Station.
