Easy park and grab
For SciFel's first hide I had to go back to where it all began even though the hide might have a short life (building it to be demolished in Fall of 07).
Simon Kenton Elementary is where I spent the first 22 years of my teaching career, and earned the nickname "The Science Feller".
The overgrown area to your south is one of the first elementary school land labs in the state. We started it from a baseball diamond and a $1000 grant fom Clark County Soil and Water District. With a lot of effort and energy it grew into an outdoor classroom complete with pond, meadow, meandering trails and wildlife for students to enjoy.
But alas, Simon Kenton now has a new location and the land is destined to be sold and turned into windowless offices or someother business venture and the little critters will have to find a new home. Ah progress - what do you do.
I'm sure this will be a quick find for most but hey it's my first.
There is no charge for the souvenirs you will take with you.
