Geocache Description:

Located at a memorial cross on the slopes of Marsden Moor, reached by a rough path

SUB LT AMBLER RN CRASHED 29 JULY 1945 RIR.
He was flying a Fairey Barracuda (MD963) of the RNAS Dunino Station Flight from Donibristle near Dunfermline on the 29th July 1945.

To find the cross & avoid the man eating tussocks, first head for the Redbrook Engine House & a path will lead from there.

You can park at either the Carriage House pub or the Great Western pub. Both have paths leading to the Engine House.

The cache is not at but nearby the crash site. No need to disturb the memorial
