First Cousin Multi-Cache
JUNGLE J: Too much construction/surveying/environmental activity in this area as hydo prepares for the new reactor "build". In addition, these "Cousin" caches have been there six years and their hiding place is overgrown and as dense as an African jungle, so the cousins are all gone. Closed. Jungle J

This is walk of about 2 km round trip with three brief stops along the way to gather information and a regular cache at the end. You need find only one redirect micro as you progress along the trails. The final cache has a few tradeables in it. Don't forget to stop at Sabresfan's cache "dePENdable" as you walk on by! If you have time, continue on to "Second Cousin" and "Third Cousin".
The given coordinates take you to a small plastic disk with two numbers on it. The sign that was here originally has been removed, so look for a small white disk to get A and B. Read and record the two numbers on the hidden disc, A B.
A = ____, B = ____
Move on up the trail to the micro, whose coordinates are given as a waypoint. Find the micro, and record the values of D, E, F, and G from the micro contents.
D = ____, E = ____, F = ____, G = ____
Again move on up the trail to the second sign. The sign is a "danger" decal on the lower leg of a hydro pylon in plain view of the northern section of the old trail at the given coordinates. From this sign record the BOTTOM TWO NUMBERS only, H I
H = ____, I = ____
Put your retrieved numbers into this formula to get the final coordinates of the cache.
N 43 H F . D I E
W078 G F . (I+A) G B
Fill in the numbers here if you use paper to find the cache:
N 43 __ __ . __ __ __
W078 __ __ . __ __ __
The trail here is a walking trail and part of the Lakeshore Trail. It is wide and easy to walk and, except for some off-trail portions for the final cache, is used by cyclists, dog walkers, hikers, and more. It has a steady "trickle" of users, so be aware and cautious please. The ground may be wet and in places for this cache, soft, so wear appropriate footware. You must walk this one, because the gate at the parking coordinates is closed to vehicles. So walk it you must.
The northward section of the trail leaves the Trans-Canada trail and, for the first 60m or so, becomes very thick and overgrown. There is poison ivy near the start too and lots of tall, thick grasses and high annual plants. There is a trail there beneath all that vegetation, and once you get into the woods the trail once again becomes obvious.
The compass on your gps will probably not function well over most of this cache since it runs under a wide hydro power corridor, four towers. The gps seems to operate just fine though.
