Hi, I am Thumbrocket. I am 4 and going on five very soon. My daddy (loop44) told me I could hide my very own cache since I have been doing so many with him this summer. I named it after one of my favourite characters on T.V. Loop44 found a nice, big aspirin container and taped it black for me. I told him that I would like to use some of my very own toys to fill it up for any kids that may be caching for this one in the future. When we got to the trail I couldnt decide on the right place, so dad and I trudged all the way from the white marked path ( at the top with the bench) through the brush til we met up with the blue path way down below. Once we got there, I found the right spot for my first hide, so I dragged dad back up the hill til it got too steep for me and then had him drag me the rest of the way up. I found the perfect fallen tree to place my cache in and I even covered it like an expert cacher would. I learned this trick from all of you others who trained me to look for the 'naturally' covered caches. With the cache firmly placed and loop44 trouncing around trying to get a read on his GPS to mark our spot, I realized we were in for more of a hike when dad told me that the batteries were shot and we had to go retrieve more from the car. While he went, I waited on the big rock right in the middle of the path ( you know the one) and said "hi" to all of the hikers enjoying the day. Dont worry, I could see dad at all times as he was parked right at the entrance. Well, we went back at it and finally marked out our cache but had some funny readings, so just climb high and remember the spot, you shouldnt have any trouble. In deciding to go either to McD's or back to the white path, I chose the white path and dragged dad once again back through the bush in the shortest route possible to enjoy the lookout again. I really loved my first hide and even got to visit and trade in a book cache along the way. I hope you all like it. Bring your kids and trade some small toys. I meant this as a kid cache so if they could bring a toy from home that is small and not used much anymore or just one they want to donate to other little cachers like me, it would be very nice of them. I will be returning often and probably taking a toy out that I have never seen before. By the way, if you are on the way to this cache and hear a lot of commotion and noise, it is probably me, because as my dad says, I am the loudest, least covert cacher known to mankind, just ask Buttons and Beaux, they heard me from like 200 yards away in Monora Park! Anyways, have fun, I hope you enjoy my first try at this. By the way, other than taxiing me, and putting in a log book and taping this bottle, loop44 let me do all the work, and he tells me I did a great job and is proud of me. I dont think he cares that I am the loudest in the forest...
