Center of Activity in Brentwood
This micro will take you to a place loaded with memories for the Hippohikers. There used to be a Murphy's 5&10 in the area, Horne's Department Store and the Whitehall Theater. We remember them well. Gram HH's aunt worked in Murphy's and her nickname was even Murph!
PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR MUGGLES, as this can be a busy place at times, and replace cache exactly as you found it.
UPDATE 5/7/08 - Some people have mentioned that the coordinates lead them to the middle of the parking lot. We just checked today and did notice that the GPS, when set to Waypoint, was pointing in the wrong direction. We puzzled over this for awhile, because when we Mark the spot, the coordinates are right on! We think those big power towers that are right in the vicinity may have some effect on the GPS. Not being scientists, we may be absolutely wrong, :-) However, WE SUGGEST THAT YOU USE YOUR WAYPOINT ENTRY TO GET YOU TO ABOUT 50 FEET, PARK THE CAR, AND START MARKING. THE HINT WILL GET YOU TO THE CORRECT SIDE OF THE PARKING LOT. LET US KNOW, IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.
