This confluence cache is just south of the Hill AFB range, out in the bush.
This is a cache that will count for either page 51 or 59 for the
Utah DeLorme Challenge though there are eazier caches to use.
The best way to get here is to take the 62 exit on I-80. Head
north 13 miles on good pavement. At the second marked road to the
west (Grassy Mountain/German Valley Well Road), head west for about
5 miles. (N 41.00.686 W 112 55.148)
If you are in a car, stop at N 40 59.278 W 112 59.692.
You will still be on good dirt road. This will put you about .8
miles south of the cache.
If you have a 4x4, then keep going west to N40 59.602 W 113
00.449. At this point there is a 2 track trail headed north.
You can park at N41 00.014 W113 00.443. There is a wide,
level spot that you can park. The cache is .4 miles east, over the
ridge. The walk is not hard, though there area lot of animal holes
in the area, so watch your step.
There was a small pile of rocks at the cords when I got there,
so I placed the cache under some small rocks right to the side of
the mount. Please do not tip over the standing stone, as it was
that way when I got there. The cache is a square large nut container with a decon container inside for double protection. Inside find a log and a couple small items I grabbed from other caches.
