Cache of the EME trilogy. If you find all three E.M.E cache’s email me for sending you for free a special printed award.
Now to the cache….. Is located next to another chromium pit , North of Troodos Square. You will need to find the Troodos camping area and follow the direction opposite than the sign is pointing. ( site by site next to the military camp )..
Again this is an excellent excuse for hiking , the terrain is mild and suitable also for the novice hikers.
A good 4WD will get you close to the point but for maximum satisfaction I recommend an early morning walk. ( 2-3 klm ). The area is abandoned and although the mine it self is protected by its surroundings extra caution is needed specially if you are taking along with you the kids. I am fortunate enough to hold a dry and underwater cave exploration training and certification , I would NOT consider any penetration in that hole and neither should you.
Remember THERE IS NOTHING IN THERE THAT WORTHS RISKING YOUR LIFE FOR . DO NOT ATEMPT ANY OVERHEAD EXPLORATION. Enjoy the nature and the absence of any noise…..
p.s look for the dark shiny stones scatered ouside the mine that is Chrome ... ( untill today is used for hardening steel and making it corrosion resisdent )
