Merlin's Cache 7 is the seventh in the series of 10 caches and is located on moorland in the Brecon Beacons National Park. To locate the cache will mean a walk of at least 4 miles with a steep climb...but the view makes it all worthwhile, particularly so, as you are visiting the County Top of Monmouthshire!
Merlin’s Cache Series
Merlin is a German Short Haired Pointer. He is now 8 years old and just loves his walks. In fact he loves going out and about so much that recently he forced his owner (arm behind back), Morgs4mountains to obtain a GPS, and now he loves walking and geo - caching!
So, to honour his two favourite pastimes, he has decided to create a series of caches that will mean that you will visit his favourite walks. There are ten caches to be found but number 10 will only be found if you have obtained the clues from the first 9 caches. Therefore, if you find a cache, please ensure that you record the clue that is contained within, in order to enable you to find the final cache.
Merlin knows that you are going to love getting out into those hills and visiting his favourite walking areas. All the caches are placed in areas that can become exposed to the unpredictable British weather. Merlin therefore advises you to ensure that you are prepared correctly for the outdoors!
