Took nothing, left something! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoCrater: I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no word from the owner in the month or more since the last reviewer note was posted. If you want to re-activate the cache during the next couple of months, please contact GeoCrater (geocrater@gmail.com) to see if that's possible. If the cache meets current guidelines, consideration will be given based on the circumstances surrounding the original archival.

Additional Translation (as I support a number of countries):

Estoy archivando lamentablemente esta memoria caché ya que no ha habido ninguna palabra del propietario en el mes o más desde la última nota del revisor se publicó. Si desea volver a activar la caché durante los próximos dos meses, póngase en contacto con GeoCrater (geocrater@gmail.com) para ver si es posible. Si la memoria caché cumple con las directrices actuales, se considerará teniendo en cuenta las circunstancias que rodean el archivo original.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Short walk (less than 100 yards) from parking. Less than 20 feet of bushwacking. Didn't see any PI, but did see some thorns and barb wire.

Took Nothing, Left Something!

This cache was placed to bring awareness to a few trends a number of cachers and I are noticing.

1. This cache, starts out with almost nothing. Hopefully this will help reverse the trend of well stocked caches that end up with nothing.

As “seed” I have placed a $12 retail value custom “Survey Crew - Geocaching.com” T-shirt as the only item on the cache. (Plus the log book, pen and geo-information sheet, all of which don't seem to get "misplaced" except for the pen)

It is not necessarily a First To Find prize but could be.

2. Please try to trade fairly, a custom T-shirt is not equal to a travel bug that you found.. get the idea?

Don’t get me wrong, if you can’t hide full sized caches, micros are better than nothing. It could be that the reason users place micros in an area that would support a full sized cache is that they don’t have to worry about the “took something, left nothing cachers”

Thousands of cars pass this area daily on a couple of roads, so stealth may be required. (Please do not park on K96 and jump the fence)

3. The last thing I have noticed is a number of cachers that have a bunch of finds, but haven’t hidden a single cache, or have a poor Find / Owned ratio.

This cache is posted as a public cache, i.e. available to everyone. Become a member, you will find lots more “member only” caches.

Please re-hide as well or better as you found it, nobody like a muggled cache!

Not everyone is guilty of these offences, If the shoe fits… wear it!

Isn’t it time you support your game?

Caching Guidelines:

Be safe
Trade fairly
Watch out for muggles
Prevent Plunderers, hide the cache in the same location; as well or better as you found it.
Have FUN!
