Okay then. Trying out a new idea. Will it work? Maybe... maybe not
but that will be up to you.
As with all puzzles (well most of them anyway) the posted
coordinates are bogus. Well they are real coordinates of course but
will take you to the middle of an empty field and it just ain't
there. The cache is (to quote Bennet) "in the Dayton Area".
We took a little drive the other night. WE started south and
headed north (the map is also oriented with north at the top). When
we started we cleared the track log. When we got to the cache site
we saved the track log. Back at home I spent the next several hours
trying to figure out how the heck to generate an image of the track
log with no background detail. The associated image is the
result.
Now what? Well now it's up to you to figure out where we drove
to. Since this ia a "test drive" of sorts I tried to make a very
distinctive route and have also added in the exact final
coordinates (well the decimal part of the coordinates anyway).
My guess is that you will all make this to be an easy peasy
puzzle to resolve. It all goes well then TeRock's Track #2 will be
more be difficult. I would very much like to get your feedback on
how easy/hard this was as well as any ideas to make it better. If
you like it then I'll do more. Honestly I can think of at least one
way to brute force the location of this cache. I'm in hopes that
you will try to find the cache using the image only. Good luck to
