Hi. I'm Heartland Cacher, the volunteer reviewer for new caches submitted to Geocaching.com from Nebraska and Wyoming.

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings.

When you have repaired this cache, drop me a line and I can review it again for listing on the geocaching.com site.

If you don't care to continue on with this project, please remove any remaining cache bits from the area.

Thanks for your understanding,
Heartland Cacher
Your friendly Geocaching.com Volunteer Cache Reviewer

Geocache Description:

This easy cache is in Meadow Lane park. Elevation: 1029 feet.

This cache is near a footpath. There is a bench nearby where you can sit comfortably to examine the container and log the find. This park is used by a lot of walkers, so you may want to sit on the bench and wait for the paths to clear.

The cache box is a small, flat, square beige lidded Tupperware container. The box is small (6x6x2 in.), so don't plan on putting much back into it. The box is propped up at the base of a tree, between the main trunk and some smaller trunks growing from the same root system.

As I approached the cache site, tree cover seemed to worsen my level of accuracy, so my readings might be off a bit.

Original contents:

  • Log book with pen
  • Grounded 3-to-2 prong electrical plug adaptor
  • Keychain screwdriver
  • Plastic Palm stylus; fits Palm III and VII models
  • 50 cents in two quarters
  • Pencil lead for mechanical pencils
  • "Erie Tales" mini-book
  • "Tea light" style candle

It appears the city has cleared a lot of trees and brush out from a tiny wooded area in the park. If I had placed my cache two weeks ago, it probably would have been exposed by the work.

Seasonal Note (11/9/2001): Cooler weather has brought about a thinning of ground cover, as well as tree cover from nearby parking and walking areas. Please excercise discretion when grabbing and placing the cache. We wouldn't want to leave it vulnerable to non-cachers.

Date Sensitive Note (12/3/2001): This cache has a $1 winning scratch-off lottery ticket. The ticket expires at the end of the year, so someone should take this item as soon as possible.
