Geocache Description:

This nano is near the Eastern entrance to the Soothill Tunnel. Bring your own sharp pencil and write very small with just the date and username.

Ive placed the cache away from the entrance to make it accessible to all..

The G.N.R. (Beeston & Batley Branch) line ran through Soothill tunnel, it was built with a siding to accommodate excursion trains to Woodkirk Gardens. It was closed to the general public in the 1930s but the line to the sandstone quarries were used until the 1960s. Once you find the cache, as you return to the road with your back to the cache you will see a path on the opposite side of the road. This path leads down some steep steps to the old world of the Soothill Tunnel.

The steps are very slippy and steep, be careful walking down them to the bottom and do not rely on the railings holding your weight.
