Fallosen på Glein Traditional Cache

Nord-Europas største steinfallos, hugd i marmor, 89 cm høg og 50 cm
i diameter.
Denne står på toppen av en stor gravhaug, ca. 35m i diameter og 5m
høy.
Denne gravformen regnes å være fra middelalderen eller
folkevandringtiden.
Fallosen på toppen antas å ha vært sentral i fruktbarhetsritualer
og dyrking av fruktbarhetsguden Njord.
I smia på Gleinsgården, like ved Fallosen, finnes ei unik
utstilling av fruktbarhetssymboler fra hele verden.
The largest phallic symbol in Northern Europe, in solid marble,
erects some 36 inches with a cross section of 20 inches.
The phallus is placed on top of a large burial mound about 115 feet
wide and 16 feet high.
This burial form is likely to be from the middle age.
In the blacksmith's shop at Gleinsgården, close to the phallus,
there is a unique display of fertility symbols from all over the
world.
