Geocache Description:

“OHIO SPIRIT QUEST”

The Ohio Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries built by Buckeye Pioneers. This series is inspired by and a continuation of the Indiana Spirit Quest caches created by Six Dog Team. In just over three years, the SPIRIT QUEST has grown to over 550 caches, with the hiding teams growing as well. The Ohio Spirit Quest has begun to grow with twenty seven current hides in one Northwest Ohio county, with five current caching teams, four each with A Man and His Dog... and one with A Woman and her Dog. Over 1,000 cachers have logged over 20,000 finds. One cache machine found 111 ISQ caches in a single day (daylight hours only). PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF POSTED CEMETERY HOURS, TYPICALLY DAWN TO DUSK. ANY FIND LOGS INDICATING NIGHT CACHING WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT NOTICE.

Come with us now for a virtual tour of this old burial ground via this page, then go out and find the cache!

OHIO SPIRIT QUEST #027
”Got the Flue?"

This is our twenty seventh hide across the border in Ohio. Listen to what TMA has to say:

Welcome to Fluehart Cemetery, York Township, Fulton County, Ohio.

This is a very small cemetery, tucked off the beaten path on a hill just northeast of Wauseon, Ohio.

Fluehart cemetery is very small, perched atop a hillside in the backyard of a few local residents. This cemetery is quite a gem, so far off the road that many may drive right past. This cemetery appears to be the final resting place of Richard J. McClarren, a Civil War veteran.

Most of the stones here are unreadable, but the view of the flatlands of Ohio here is very beautiful. Take some time to admire where you are.

The cache container is a camo'd small lok 'n' lok. -- Pencil provided. There is one parking spot here, between the property marker and the drainage pipe. It is located at N41 34.623 W084 06.889. Hug the cornfield as you stroll back. If you find a fallen US flag, please stick it back in the ground. As always, please be respectful, and cache in, trash out. Pray for our Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, CoastGuardsmen and Airmen in harm's way. All photos by -Eleanor-.
