Geocache Description:

The church which stands on the Vicarage grounds, dates from 1727. The previous church, and old stave-church,
was from the early Middle Ages. It had a nave and two aisles, a semicircular apse and a pentice. The present
church was rebuilt entirely in 1884. Here is also an rune-stone. The rune-stone dates from the end of the Viking age. In translation "Roar raised this stone for Olve, his father".

The church is an open road-church in the summer time. Over the main road starts  the path where you can  find the  cache Pilgrims Trail Fåberg
