This is a multi with a bit of a history lesson on Figtree, a suburb of Wollongong. The area is geo family friendly with a great playground & sporting oval, thus making it a very high muggle area with ground zero out in the open. The difficulty rating is up because of this, not because it is difficult to get to.
You always need a pen for a cache so please take one with you…. And now here is that little bit of useless information you have all been waiting for!!
Ladislao BIRO invented a ballpoint pen, a biro, which became a great success. He patented the invention in Paris in 1938 and then in 1945 in France, Marcel BICH set up business as the maker of parts for fountain pens and mechanical lead pencils. After obtaining the patent rights to the ball pen created by Ladislao BIRO, Marcel BICH introduced his own ball pen in 1950, which he called “BIC” a shortened, easy-to-remember version of his own name and in 2005, BIC had sold its hundred billionth ballpoint pen.
There are several plaques in this area, but only 3 hold some of your clues, 1 of these being near an entrance for geopuppies to roam without their leash.
