A lovely walk along the Footpath between Lambley and Gedling. The area has a well defined path which could get muddy in places after prolonged periods of precipitation.
The cache is situated just off the footpath in a quiet wood with lovely views over Gedling. The cache itself is an Ammo box which in its former life stored artillery shell ring spoilers. A spoiler is a plastic ring which fits to the fuse cone of an artillery shell in order for the shell to reduce its range. Used in the high angle when enemy forces are close to the gun position.
