Geocache Description:

Located in Mt. Nebo State Park, this cache is placed just off the Nebo Springs Trail. This trail connects the Rim Trail to the Bench Trail far below, close to Nebo Springs. The cache is placed near the middle of this connecting trail, so it doesn’t really matter which end you start from – you will get a good workout one way or the other! Because of the steep terrain, the approach to this cache can be treacherous unless you remain on the trail until the last possible moment. I recommend that you wait until your GPS unit tells you that you are within 30 feet of the cache before considering leaving the trail.

USE THE TRAIL to get to the cache. DO NOT BUSHWHACK! The terrain in this area is VERY STEEP AND DANGEROUS. And do not search after dark!

I recommend that you find this cache in conjunction with another nearby cache, “375 Steps”, located on the Nebo Steps Trail. Using the Nebo Springs Trail, the Rim Trail, the Nebo Steps Trail, and the Bench Trail, you can have a nice hiking loop while finding both caches.

The cache is a 50-cal ammo box, with a log book and some trade items. Please leave something if you take something. And no junk, trash, business cards, religious tracts, or political leaflets, please!

The only reward I get for placing this cache is your log entry on this website. So please take time to tell me about your adventures in finding this cache or visiting Mt. Nebo. The more you write, the more I like!

Hidden with permission of Mt. Nebo State Park.
