Geocache Description:

Located in the val Durance, its a great climbing area.
You need climbing gear to find the cache.

Being a climber, I regularly spend some time in this area. During the summer of 2001, I placed a cache in France, because at that time there were only 3 caches in France.

The coordinates are at the beginning of a Via Ferrata. You should follow the cable until the second part starts. Just before the second cable the cache is hidden in the cave.

To make things clearer and easyer, I added a map of the area and a routemap of the Via Ferrata. If you look closely on the map, you can see a cheat.
Also added the French description of the route

The cache contains some small goodies:
- logbook, pencil and sharpener (these should stay in the cache)
- a bottle of blow-bubbles.
- a HEXENTRIC size 3

If you need materials for the Via Ferrata you can go to the village of Argentiere de la Bessee, there are some stores which rent climbing gear.

As I live in The Netherlands, I am not able to check up on this cache regularly, though I will every 2 years. Please report the state of the cache to me.

By the way, you can get some great pizza at N44 46.676 E6 33.312
