To get to this cache, which is a small candy tin, you will
embark on a nice hike of almost a mile up a road that is
challenging for all but the best-equipped 4WD vehicles.
The trail starts at "
Another Lyons Valley Roadside Distraction." Then, on your way
up the hill you will pass "
Lawson 1" and "
Lawson 2." Further up the hill are the other caches in the
Lawson series, including the very fun, and extremely challenging,
"
Lawson 4."
The views from the cache location are fantastic. To the west you
can see the towering pile of boulders that is Lawson Peak.

fire-ravaged area of Horsethief Canyon with Corte Madera in the
background.

To the east you can see Hauser canyon and way off in the
distance, on a clear day, looking towards the southeast you can see
all the way into Mexico.
Because muggles come over to this point to check out the view, I
have hidden the container very well. Please rehide it just as well
so it won't be found by non-cachers.
