Geocache Description:

[Nederlands] Welkom in de "Reeuwijkse plassen". "In", want deze multi cache is ontworpen om zwemmend te doen.
[English] Welcom in the "Reeuwijkse plassen". "In", for this multi cache is designed to accomplish while swimming.

[Nederlands] Voor het vinden van de eindlokatie moet je op zoek naar 6 hoofdletters, nabij eilandjes. De hoofdletters staan op bordjes van ca. 4x7 cm, die aan paaltjes zijn geschroefd. De hoofdletters zijn vanaf enkele meters afstand goed zichtbaar. De lokaties (a t/m f) van de hoofdletters zijn gegeven, dus dat helpt bij de voorbereiding en het zoeken naar een strategische zwemroute. Nergens hoef je het land op te klimmen, ook niet bij de cache zelf. Dit is ook niet toegestaan. In de tabel kun je vinden welk cijfer bij welke hoofdletter hoort. De eindcache kan gevonden worden door de cijfers op de juiste positie in te vullen in de formule.
De eindcache ligt op N52°01.abc' E004°43.def' (dus als op lokatie a een Q te vinden is, dan is a dus 1; N52°01.1bc' E004°43.def').

Je kunt wellicht het best beginnen met zwemmen op de lokatie die door de hoofd coordinaten van deze cache zijn aangegeven. Houd altijd rekening met standaard regels bij het zwemmen in de natuur, zoals scherpe objecten, takken, kou, (on)gedierte, enzovoorts.

Het is natuurlijk ook mogelijk om voor de gelegenheid een boot in te zetten. Houd er dan wel rekening mee dat je voor nagenoeg alle boten, met of zonder moter, een vaarontheffing moet hebben. Deze is te krijgen aan het gemeentehuis van Reeuwijk. Ik hoop dit binnenkort een keer schaatsend te kunnen doen.

[English] In order to retreive the coordinates of the endlocation, one needs to find 6 capitals, near small islands. The capitals are located on plates measuring about 4x7 cm, fixed to poles. The capitals are visible from a distance of several metres. The locations (a to f) of the capitals are given, which might help preparing and finding a efficient swimming route. There is no need to climb out of the water, not even at the cache itself. This is not allowed. In the table one can lookup the number corresponding to the capital. One can find the end cache by substituting the number at the right position in the formula.

The end cache is located at N52°01.abc' E004°43.def' (so, if a Q is found at location a, then a equals 1; N52°01.1bc' E004°43.def').

A good location to start swiming might be at the main coordinates of this cache. Be aware of standard rules while swiming in open water, like sharp objects, branches, cold, animals of all sorts, etcetera.

A valid alternative is to use a boat. Keep in mind that one needs a exemption for almost any boat, whith or whithout engine. This can be obtained from the local townhall of Reeuwijk. I would like to do this by icescate in the near future.
